School Tours

Experience Orange County's Only Holocaust Museum

Our free 90 minute docent-led school tour transports students back to 1944 where they step into the shoes of prominent Holocaust survivor, Mel Mermelstein. Students meet Mel in a short documentary where they learn about his time at Auschwitz concentration camp, the tragic loss of his family, and how he overcame and processed his trauma through creation of art using artifacts from various Nazi concentration camps. The museum displays the creations of Mel which tell the stories of his family and many others who lost their lives in the Holocaust. Students have the opportunity to touch the artifacts, learn about tolerance, and hear the incredible stories of Mel and local survivors who triumphed one of the darkest moments in history.

Our team provides each group with a custom tour experience. Ask us about our School tour Add-on with our community partners.
